Budget airline Ryanair has announced that it will operate flights to 19 destinations from a new airport near Warsaw.
The airport is due to open later this month and the airline’s CEO Michael O’Leary confirmed that flights on routes to destinations in Europe and the UK will be available.
In the UK, flights from Modlin to Bristol, the East Midlands, Glasgow, Liverpool, London and Manchester will be available.
From July 18, Wizzair, a low-cost airline based in Hungary, is also planning around 20 connections out of Modlin airport.
The new airport in the Polish capital has been attributed partly to the attempt to attract more budget airlines to the country.
