I used a different credit card at pick up than the one I used when I made the reservation. Both cards were charged the total fee. I was told that the card I used when I made the reservation would be refunded. However, I still have not received a refund. The reference number for the reservation was 24510723217108697920056.

I locked in the rental with kayak at $315.00, everything I wanted included and when I picked car up it was $600.00 . The associate at the desk claimed kayak has wrong pricing. complete rip off. will never use kayak or sixt again!

Handed off to Qeek by Kayak? Impossible to navigate the Qeek website and they changed my pickup point from the requested Tampa Airport location to Downtown (although Qeek would not admit they made this change). Therefore, canceled the whole booking and rebooked through Expedia, but still with Sixt. Kayak retained my booking deposit, so will never use Kayak (Qeek whatever) again! Very short-term business outlook in the way you "use" your customers. Will be interested to see if these surveys serve ANY purpose. Already interesting to see that Kayak doesn't seem to realize rental was canceled.....as you're sending me this survey.
Mark was very friendly and helpful with getting us just the right car. Car was clean and very nice Great experience and easy drop off Will use Dollar again
They didn't provide a charging cable for the EV, despite saying there "should" be one in the trunk. So we had no option to charge other than to find a public charger, of which there were none in the area where we stayed. We could barely leave the place we were staying for fear of not having the battery to get back to Tampa.

My rental was suppose to be at Tampa airport, But upon arrival, Hertz apprised me it was at its North Tampa location. There was no mention in my itinerary of North Tampa. To resolve, I had to pay current rate of $400 vs. $200 I orriginally contracted in February.

The Hertz rental location manager did not have my vehicle ready and available for me at my scheduled time and then proceeded to blame my frustration on my being 30 minutes late past my scheduled pickup time, which was kind of an odd excuse for why my rental was not ready or available. An hour later, the rental vehicle arrived on the lot in horrible shape (dirty on the outside and a complete mess on the inside). The story from the store manager was that the vehicle needed an oil change and that's why it was not on the lot. So, I drove away in my filthy late vehicle that I had prepaid for about 3 weeks prior. The most intriguing part of my Hertz rental experience was when the Hertz rental location manager arrived at my home un-announced and un-invited about 2 hours after I picked up the rental vehicle and told me it was an emergency that the prior renter had left something inside the vehicle. I was flustered not only at the fact that this manager had decided to show up without my knowledge or consent, but also because I was still working and on a phone call so I wanted to just make him leave. At this point, my children had already put some of their bags into the rental vehicle as we were about to depart on our road trip within the next hour. So, as I allowed the Hertz manager to search for this mystery item I noticed that he was being extremely guarded and not sharing what he was looking for. I understood why when he located the item and tried to hide it from me... It was a GUN. A pistol inside the rental vehicle right next to where my kids would be sitting. I was so amazingly upset, angry, frustrated and utterly dumbfounded that I just wanted him to leave. I reported all of this experience and information to Hertz and I am still awaiting an apology, a confirmation, some form of compensatory value but most importantly an explanation as to how this happened and how they will ensure that it never happens again!! I have contacted Hertz multiple times through social media, by phone, by email, but every response has been "we are looking into it". Unless something unexpected happens, I fully expect to ignore me unless legally forced to do something. I would probably try and avoid a company like this - especially because they are just coming off of a massive lawsuit settlement where they falsely claimed renters had stolen their rental vehicles and had them arrested!! What a great company! Avoid Hertz. You'll be happier.
Booked a rideshare to get from my hotel to the rental office, when I arrived I was told that they canceled my reservation because they do not have any cars available. I told them that a phone call or email would have been nice before I paid for a ride to come here, and the agent pointed at another customer and said “well, he’s been here waiting on a car since 8:00 AM” … I’m not sure what point he was trying to make, but this rental center has very poor customer service.

We stood in line at the Budget counter in the Tampa airport for almost 45 minutes to learn our reservation was not at the airport, it was offsite and the office had closed. This was incredibly disappointing and inconvenient as I was traveling with my mother i. Law who required a wheelchair. They were able to get me a car but it cost almost 4 times as much. Bye bye Kayak

We will never use Easirent again. Horrible customer service, the car we booked smelled of cigarettes, checking in and out was chaotic and we could never get someone on the phone to help clear up an issue. Very disappointed.

The car was dusty, like nobody clean. It at all, has several bumps the car they charge me for unlimited miles. Even the website says included. They charge me for tolls even I pay my own tolls with cash, and every single one the car turned on lights the tires without air. The car oil change was a disaster, I did not recommend the service

Horrible. The person behind the counter at the Tampa, Florida first tells me that he has no reservations and asks me to go onto a website and if I’m able to create a reservation he would rent me a car. I went onto Hotwire, created a reservation didn’t realize I was actually paying for it ended up creating one paid with my visa showed it to Easirent employee who then decides to create his own reservation for me and charges me as well. His charge was actually higher than my rate from the online website. Then he proceeds to tell me that my own insurance coverage doesn’t cover me in the U.S. which as a Canadian is false as Canadian insurance companies are subsidiaries and have treaties with the U.S. as we boarder one another. I spent 15-20 minutes getting my insurance policy from my broker and going over it with him. Finally the insurance liability card (pink slip) clearly states at the bottom that I am covered if an incident occurs in the U.S. Later on I end up finding out that I was double billed by Easirent for my rental for both reservations that were created. The day I returned my rental I spent over and hour going over with the same employee my concern that I wanted to get a refund for one of the reservations. He proceeded to tell me that I need to contact Hotwire for my rental refund. I told him that it was credited by Easirent on my Visa and NOT Hotwire. He tells me that since the reservation was done on Hotwire there is nothing he could do. I then called Hotwire in front of him and was on the phone for 15min finally a Hotwire rep tells me that the funds were not taken by Hotwire but by Easirent (which I already knew). The Hotwire rep tells me I need to request a refund/cancellation through the rental company itself. I then as the Easi car rental rep to cancel on of my two reservations. He tells me unfortunately he can’t as the one reservation I’m currently in and the other was done online. He gives me the Easirent corporate tel number and I’m on the phone for another 45min trying to clear this up before returning my rental back and hopefully make my flight back to Canada. At the end I finally managed to get someone one the phone who then tells me that all they can do is provide me with a credit for the amount charged as it was a pre pay authorization online (which i was never told/didn’t know). Rental agreement #3336300. At this point I didn’t know what more to do as I didn’t went to miss my flight home. I asked for an email confirmation regarding this conversation and asked that a manager call me the next day.

The vehicle was the only issue that I would change due to the navigation system was not functioning properly and I was turned around quite a bit that I had to down load a different gps app to navigate to my needed destination. Lastly , it was the wrong size vehicle that was difficult to get in and out of and the turn radius was horrible. The Alamo staff from start to finish was superb and I will use Alamo for now on but I will take my time to really choose the right vehicle for my safety and size paralleled with comfort! The low profile tires should never be on any vehicle that rental property, I felt every bump that jilted the entire vehicle and made for a anxious feeling that the tires would lose tire air pressure! The next vehicle that I use as a rental will be a SUV .

Even thought I called a week, and again a day in advance to confirm reservation, I was told the morning of the rental that if I didn't arrive at the office when it opened, I could not be guaranteed a vehicle. The car that I was given smelled so terribly of disinfectant, we had to purchase bottles of vinegar to dissipate odors. We also had to leave windows open at night and wash all clothes that came in contact with seats and floors.
I reserved an intermediate vehicle and received a booking confirmation. Shortly there after when I went to the rental location to pick up the rental car I was informed that instead of the car that I had booked and reserved they only had a truck. I am a short petite gir and I did not rent nor want a truck to drive. I was unapologetically told there were no other vehicles despite my booking confirmation and there is nothing they can do. I left the rental location unsatisfied during a time that finding an alternative rental car in town was quite nearly impossible. They went into the system at this time and canceled my reservation as expected since they had been able to give me car; however, I was still charged the insurance on said vehicle but I never picked up. Now I’m having to deal with the insurance company to try and get a refund , as reaching customer service through the rental company is nearly impossible.
Thrifty’s operational procedure for customer service is flawed, as it classifies customers based on their car type rather than the time of check-in. Consequently, individuals who are not in the current class of car being serviced are effectively positioned at the rear of the line, irrespective of whether they have prepaid or checked in at the earliest available time. Furthermore, the TPA location lacks an online update for vehicle selection, making it challenging for customers to determine their model before arriving. I strongly advise against utilizing Thrifty’s car service and recommend opting for larger brands that have a more efficient and reliable operational model.
