Cheap Car Hire in The Palm Club, West Palm Beach from £42

It would help if they got email addresses correct - even after telling them. I live in the heart of England. I have never hired a car from Hertz in the USA. I received several emails giving me instructions about picking up my hire car (including some personal details of the hirer). On each occasion, I attempted to correct the company. And now, they want me to post a review of my experience! Unbelievable. What concerns me most is not my receiving these emails but realising that their genuine customer never received anything at all about his/her transaction. I hope they got their car OK. I'll bet that now I have posted this review someone will contact me. :-) Too late! But we shall see. It's so simple to use what is called "double opt-in". Ie, check the email address is the right one before posting sensitive information to it. Bad ITC Hertz! Stephen Bell (Retired marketer.)

Staff at airport desk was outstanding. Shuttle bus driver to rental car lot went above and beyond. Shuttle bus to terminal was delayed.

No staff available, one person servicing the counter for all 3 companies with long lines of frustrated customers. Not fair for the employee.

Car is not clean. Staff at the pickup and drop off are not friendly. Very laid back behavior, don’t care about the people who are waiting with kids or elderly.

The man at the counter was very helpful.

We reserved a full size vehicle for our quick trip down to W Palm Beach. When we arrived, there were two customer service reps, one of which was running from his station to the other trying to appease both customers. Four more customers were in line and each one was told "we have no cars available" and "the wait time was going to be two hours". By the time we were helped at the service counter, same story, no car...but, we can upgrade you. We HAD to have a car because we had a time commitment upon arrival so we took the upgrade - went from a Malibu (or like kind) to a Ford Escape (smallest SUV on the lot). Next thing I know, $114.30 upgrade charge later, we drive out of the lot. Totally unacceptable - we reserve a car, you expect to get a car upon arrival. If there is nothing available in our reservation category, then give us a free upgrade to the small SUV. What was a $70 reservation for two days turned into $184 and the vehicle was at best, the same size, maybe smaller than what was ordered. Never again dollar, never again.

I had to wait over an hour to rent a car.
